What is “TAT”?
TAT is short for Turn Around Time. This is the amount of time it takes from the moment you place your order to the moment your order ships. During peak times your TAT will vary accordingly. At Three 22 fragrances we strive to get your order to you as soon as possible. We do NOT ship orders Friday-Sunday. If you place your order on a Friday it will be shipped out the following week. We also do not ship or process orders on major holidays.
What does “trimming the wick” mean?
For a properly burning candle it is advisable to trim the wick on all Three 22 Fragrances candles to 1/4th of an inch prior to burning each time to avoid excessive sooting. You may need to trim your Three 22 fragrance candle at least once throughout each burn if you do not trim prior to lighting. All of our candles are trimmed to the appropriate length upon arrival to you
What is “tunneling” and how can I avoid it?
Tunneling is a term that describes the candle burning straight through the center of the candle leaving a thick ring of wax around the sides of the container. To avoid tunneling, allow your candles to burn until the entire top surface of wax is liquified before extinguishing. Allow your Three 22 Fragrances candles to burn for 3-4 hours on the initial lighting and then on the next three burns. Our candles will appear to tunnel on the first 4 burns and then level out and burn with a complete melt pool. We strongly recommend not burning more than 4 hours at a time
What does fragrance throw mean?
Fragrance throw or simply ‘throw’ is the strength of the candle you are burning and how far the fragrance carries away from the burning candle.
Q. Why can’t I smell my candles?
A. There are many factors that negatively impact fragrance throw such as ceiling fans and air conditioning units. Also take notice of the size of the room you are burning your candles in. Mini candles such as votives and scented tealight candles are better suited and limited to very small rooms, and to try a scent before committing to a larger candle. Our single wick candles are more suitable for smaller rooms such as bathrooms and bedrooms and for people who prefer a lighter fragrance throw. Our 3-wick candles are better suited for large areas. If you have a big open room you might want to consider burning two 3-wicks simultaneously to accommodate your space. Simply place one on each end of your selected space. Incorporating wax melts in the same fragrance as a candle and or a complimentary fragrance will increase the desired level of fragrance. We also tend to become “nose blind” try burning a different fragrance for a day or two then revisit your favorite Three 22 fragrance.
Q. Can I burn more than one fragrance together?
A. Absolutely, we design our fragrances to be very guest friendly not too strong and not too light. Simply select your favorite Three 22 fragrances to burn together to come up with your own unique custom blend. Not all fragrances are compatible for scent layering so choose wisely.
What is your return/exchange policy?
A. Returns are processed as online boutique credit only. You will have 14 days after delivery of your order. We will ask that you provide us pictures of the candle(s) product(s) of which you plan to send back. Returning products MUST have all original branding labels intact and in original packaging with seals intact. We want you to love our products and our brand. At this time we do ask that you refrain from burning more than an inch of wax. Q. Will you expand your fragrance catalog?
A. At this time we are only offering a limited amount of fragrances. We look forward to expanding our brand to offer more fragrances to accommodate a wide range of shoppers. We gladly take fragrance requests into consideration, but that doesn’t mean we will produce that specific scent.
Can I reuse my Three 22 Fragrances candle containers?
A. You sure can. We DO NOT recommend using our containers as food containers or drink-ware. Our tins make gorgeous keepsake containers and floral arrangements. Just make sure you wash the containers thoroughly.
I don’t see my question listed, what can I do?

Q. Do you offer sales, discounts, or promotions?
A. You bet we do! We periodically offer gift with purchase items, order discounts, and free shipping. Follow our facebook page to get promotional updates in real time
Q. Will you offer more size variety?
A. As we continue to grow we will offer more sizes and styles of product. Stay tuned to our page where we will unveil new styles.
Q. What payment methods do you offer?
At this time we only debit/credit card transactions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Can my order be modified?
A. Unfortunately, once an order is placed it cannot be modified. You would need to place a second order to add items. During order fulfillment and processing, we will adjust your shipping charges and refund the difference
Q. Why are shipping charges so expensive?
A. At this time we are currently working on providing better shipping charges. Your order will ship via United States Postal Services (USPS) with included tracking. With the nature of our wax, we may or may not require a signature upon delivery to ensure your parcel isn’t sitting in hot temperatures depending on the current season. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We don’t want you to receive melted product. We can certainly try to arrange a specific delivery date at an added small charge to ensure you are home for delivery but you must specify that date when you place your order. We do offer daily free shipping on orders of $100.00 or more and will periodically offer free shipping on smaller orders.
Why is there extra items in my box and was I charged for them?
A. Sometimes we will include a wax sample or candle at no cost to you. This way you’ll be able to smell a different or a brand new fragrance. Please cut the sample to the amount of which your wax warmers can accommodate. All we ask is that you send a short email about the sample. If you loved it or disliked it.
I have two of the same style candle in different fragrances, one isn’t as strong as the other. Is this normal?
A: Yes this is absolutely normal, some fragrances are naturally stronger than others. All of our Three 22 fragrances are rigorously tested for fragrance strength and burn performance.
How strong are your fragrances?
At Three 22 fragrances our fragrances are not intended to be extremely strong and potent. We want our fragrances to be strong enough to smell and enough to be pleasant. We also want to offer our customers the chance to fragrance layer two or more fragrances without overpowering their space.
